Bradley Martyn is a YouTuber, social media star, physique competitor, fitness guru, and weight lifter. But those of you who notice how jacked he really is may be wondering… is Bradley Martyn on steroids?
For the record, I’m not a ‘pro bodybuilder.’ I’ve put some serious time into my workout life but nothing even close to the level that Bradley Martyn is on.
This guy has won first-place medals as a physique competitor. He’s a super-successful fitness YouTuber. He’s a fitness guru, he opened his own gym, and he’s freaking ripped.
But even on a higher level than that, I love where Bradley Martyn comes from on a mentality level. His gym experience, and the significance that lifting weights has held for him in his life, really echoes back to my own experiences under the bar.
And for that reason, I actually really identify with him and like him.
But today, we’re here to examine one very important question.
Is Bradley Martyn on steroids?
Let’s unpack the facts and take a look.
Bradley Martyn: Background
Bradley Martyn may be a rich, successful, and influential YouTube and social media star now. But his life has not always been so easy.
According to his bio on greatestphysiques.com, he lost his father to suicide at the age of 6. He battled depression as a younger man, and had to learn how to be a success on his own, without the help of a father figure.
“I think so many people spend their life living not necessarily other people’s dreams, but their life becomes what someone else thinks they should be doing… If there’s something inside of you that burns, that is always on your mind, you have to find time to nurture it.” –Quote by Bradley Martyn
For Bradley Martyn, that ‘burning’ passion was obviously weight-training and fitness. He started training in the gym at the age of 15, and gained a remarkable amount of knowledge and experience over the years. He started his own training program in 2006, though his business didn’t truly start to take off big-time until 2014 (that is a LOT of perseverance).
That was the year that Bradley Martyn started his YouTube channel and the rest is really history.
The Connection Between Athletes and Steroid Use
As long as sports have existed, there have also been athletes looking for advantages.
And nowadays, especially among body-builders, performance-enhancing drugs like steroids offer a powerful option for growing even stronger, building even more muscle mass, and increasing endurance to the highest degree.
But here’s the thing. Performance-enhancing drugs may increase athletic ability, but they don’t deliver the benefits for free. Often, the use of steroids comes at a great cost to the athlete.
Some of these costs have to do with their future and career (i.e. failing drug tests, being disqualified from competitions, spoiling their reputation, etc). Others have a direct impact on the athlete’s physical health.
Steroids can cause a number of health issues, including:
- Acne
- Cataracts
- High blood pressure
- Increased appetite
- Weight gain
- Insomnia
- Fluid retention
- Mood swings
- High blood sugar
- Suppressed adrenal gland hormone production
- Easy bruising
- And more
Anabolic Steroids can also contribute to more serious issues in men, like:
- Shrinking testicles
- Baldness
- A decrease in sperm count
- Increased risk for prostate cancer
- Breast development
The Cold-Hard Evidence: Is Bradley Martyn on Steroids?
Alright. We’ve talked a bit about Bradley Martyn as a man.
But is Bradley Martyn on steroids?
We looked into this quite a bit, and here is what I found.
The First Piece of Evidence – a YouTube Video by Kenny Ko
Kenny Ko created a YouTube video titled BRADLEY MARTYN, Natty or Not & What He Takes.
And in this video, the YouTuber claims to know for sure what the truth is about Bradley Martyn on steroids.
He basically comes right out and says that Bradley is NOT natural.
Here were the main, and most important points in his video.
1. Bradley Martyn DOES Have Incredible Genetics
Kenny Ko shows a picture of Bradley back in 2010, alongside a picture of him in 2020. And yes, his results in the past 10 years are staggering. But even back then, it was obvious that Bradley Martyn had a naturally gifted frame and great genetics for bodybuilding.
2. He Says That He Knows People Who Are Taking More Steroids Than Bradley Martyn, Who Do Not Get the Same Results
In other words, Kenno Ko reports that there are a lot of athletes who are taking more steroids than Bradley Martyn. But still, this doesn’t mean that Bradley is clean.
3. Kenny Ko Says That Bradley Martyn Is Most Likely Using TRT and ‘Blasting and Cruising’ With Steroids
Blasting and cruising is a new technique for steroid use. The person ‘blasts’ by using the drugs for 6 to 12 weeks. Then they taper down to a dose of testosterone that is ‘natural’ to ‘cruise’ for about 6 to 12 weeks before ramping up to another ‘blast.’
The technique is supposed to minimize the harm done by the steroids, while also enjoying the powerful performance-enhancing benefits.
4. According to Kenny Ko, Brad Is Incredibly Consistent With His Muscle Mass
This would either indicate that he is natural, or that he only doses with very low doses. Usually, guys on high doses will lose mass when they cycle off. But Bradley Martyn doesn’t seem to have this problem. For this reason, it is pretty easy to rule out ‘high doses’ of steroids.
5. According to Kenny Ko, Bradley Never Claims to Be Natural
This obviously doesn’t prove that he’s on anything. But it does factor into the discussion a little bit. To a degree, it would seem understandable for him to avoid that topic completely—especially if he’s actually taking PEs.
I haven’t watched every single one of Bradley’s videos. But I can attest to this. I’ve never heard him say that he’s not on anything. So it is just another thing to take note of.
6. Bradley Never Looks Swollen or Watery – and So, Kenny Ko Says That He’s Most Likely on a Dry Compound
Bradley Martyn almost never looks like he is retaining water. For this reason, Kenny Ko claims that he is most likely on something like a DHT derivative. Or, he could just be on testosterone.
The Second Piece of Evidence – Greg Doucette’s Bradley Martyn Video
For those of you who are into ‘natty or not’ videos, Greg Doucette is one of the most popular creators for this type of content on YouTube. He boasts over 847,000 subscribers, and certainly knows what he’s talking about.
He’s a Canadian IFBB Pro bodybuilder, a published author, and a Guinness World Record powerlifter. He has also taken a lot of performance-enhancing drugs, so he knows what he’s talking about.
On his YouTube channel, he says that he’s out to ‘ruthlessly’ seek the truth in the health/fitness/wellness industry, and that he’s also out to ‘debunk’ the fitness industry myths.
With that being said, Greg Doucette made a video about Bradley Martyn on steroids.
Now, this isn’t a typical natty or not vid. It’s actually a video about a video that was posted on Bradley Martyn’s own channel, where he was helping Griffin Johnson (yes, the famous TikTok influencer) with his goal to gain 15 pounds of lean muscle in just 3 months… a feat that Greg Doucette says is literally ‘impossible’ without the use of steroids.
And in that video, Greg Doucette points out some pretty obvious pieces of evidence that point toward whether or not there is truth to the ‘Bradley Martyn on steroids’ claim.
1. Greg Comes Right Out and Says That It’s Obvious That Bradley Martyn Isn’t Natural
Coach Greg doesn’t pull any punches. Coming right out of the gate, he says this in his Bradley Martyn video.
“Is he in fact natural? Of course he’s not freaking natural. People have asked me to do a natty or not on Bradley Martyn for like a year straight. I haven’t done it. I don’t need to. He’s not natural. Are you kidding me? He’s not natural.”
2. Bradley Martyn Seems to ‘False Hype’ the Natural Vitamins That Griffin Johnson Is Going to Take, Calling Them ‘Cheat Codes’
When Griffin Johnson pulled out a box of vitamins in the video, Bradley Martyn really hypes them up—even to the point where he calls them ‘cheat codes.’
Some of the vitamins and natural supplements discussed were:
- NAC
- Apple Cider Vinegar
- CO Q-10
- Zinc
- Cinnamon
Coach Greg immediately calls ‘bullcrap’ on these vitamins, and says that the ‘real’ vitamins (steroids) that make Bradley Martyn so jacked are the ones not being shown or talked about… because they are illegal!
Greg Doucette explains that Bradley Martyn is probably false-hyping these natural vitamin supplements because he’s trying to give people the idea that he’s not on steroids, and that he is in fact completely natural.
The Third Piece of Evidence for Bradley Martyn on Steroids – Kenny Ko Reveals His Cycle on YouTube
Kenny KO released this video back in December of 2019. And in it, he makes good on his promise to release Bradley Martyn’s complete cycle if a certain one of his videos featuring the famous YouTuber got enough likes.
Well, it did, and he straight-up tells viewers what Bradley Martyn’s cycle is (at least as of that time).
“Test Deca Dbal – Blasting Cruise – Comes Off High Test.”
With that being said, do we know for sure that Kenny KO knows exactly what he’s talking about?
Well, we know that he has appeared in YouTube videos with Bradley Martyn several times. In one of his videos, he even lifts weights with him.
This isn’t a confession directly out of Bradley Martyn’s own mouth. But when you take into account all of the evidence, and you see how his body looks, and you see the massive growth he’s had over the course of the last 10 years… it really only seems logical that he’s taking something.
So take it for what it’s worth. No, it isn’t literally verified, but it’s pretty serious evidence that just adds to the growing pile of evidence that Bradley Martyn on steroids is not just a myth, but is in fact reality.
Our Verdict
At the end of the day, keep in mind that I cannot possibly know for sure what the real verdict is.
Why?
Because I’ve never lifted weights with Bradley Martyn, and I’ve literally never seen him take steroids.
With that being said, the evidence seems pretty overwhelming that he is, indeed, taking steroids.
Is he taking exactly what Kenny KO says he is taking? There’s no way for me to be sure. But I do think that Kenny KO knows a bit about what he’s talking about. Plus, he’s spent at least a bit of time around Bradley Martyn. So if anyone would know the specifics, it would probably be him.
Secondly, just look at Bradley Martyn. The guy is STACKED TO THE NINES. He is massive, and he holds that bulk pretty consistently.
It would be really difficult to have the kind of body he has without taking steroids. Sure, he works hard. He’s undeniably committed to helping people achieve better results at the gym and on the weight-lifting bench.
But is he natural? I don’t think so, and I think the evidence shows us that.
Does this make Bradley Martyn a bad guy? I don’t think that either. I think that steroids are dangerous and that they come with risks. I don’t think that anyone should take them. But it’s also true that Bradley Martyn’s body is his own, and that he can choose to do what he wants.
I still admire his passion for the industry. It’s just important to understand what’s real and what’s not.
And for men looking at him, trying to figure out why they can’t get the same kinds of gains… well, there are two answers.
For one, Bradley Martyn has worked hard, for 10 years, to achieve the body he has. That’s a lot of work and dedication.
And two, Bradley Martyn is also most likely on steroids. This means that he has probably been able to push through with his intense training to a level that would be difficult (if not impossible) to reach for guys trying to do it all-natural.
P.S. When it comes to steroid use, see what we think about Connor Murphy and Mike Thurston.
The Main Message Here Is This
Here at Male Ambition, we believe in helping all men to become better men. This means leveling up the mind, body, and spirit.
Do I believe that we should all be hitting the gym and trying to achieve better bodies?
Yes.
Do I believe that we should be taking steroids to help us?
No.
I think that we should be putting good things into our bodies that help us. I also don’t believe we should be breaking the law to gain an advantage, no matter how much we may want to.
The ‘Bradley Martyn on steroids’ story shows us that steroids work. But there is also another story that’s important to tell the story about the risks associated with these drugs, and how as men we shouldn’t feel driven to take dangerous drugs just to look or perform a certain way.
We can create awesome bodies by eating right and lifting weights properly, and that’s what I believe we should be doing.
